Welcome to the Watford and Bushey Art Society home page.
Founded in 1921, and with over 170 members, we are one of the
largest art organisations in Hertfordshire.
Our 'welcome to all' membership policy, with no selection process, means that
our members include a wide spectrum of people ranging from gifted professionals
to absolute beginners.
The Society offers many opportunities for members to exhibit and sell their
work, with the principal event being the Spring Exhibition in the Harlequin
Centre Watford.

The core of our activities is the twice-monthly evening meeting, regularly
attended by 50 – 60 members. These events held on the first and third Tuesdays
of each month, include demonstrations, talks, workshops and media
experimentation evenings.
We meet at the Beechen Grove Baptist Church Hall in the centre of Watford on
Clarendon Road (See "How to find us" page - for details). Doors open at 7.00 for
7.30pm and parking is available in the nearby Barclays Bank (Clarendon Road) car
park. Visitors are always welcome.
In addition to our regular
meetings we organise a wide range of other activities, including daytime
outdoor painting groups and indoor sessions, which include life drawing and
portraiture.
The Society is a very friendly and welcoming group, so why not come and join us.
